The Great Kalimba Textbook is a detailed textbook for the 17-note single-row kalimba in C major, the oldest and best-selling kalimba type in the world. It is suitable for both beginners and more advanced users.

The richly illustrated introduction, supplemented by videos, explains everything you need to know about handling, tuning and picking techniques on the kalimba. The musical part begins with practical exercises with a focus on orientation, melody and chord playing.

70 pieces arranged specifically for this kalimba in 5 levels of difficulty form the main part of the book. All pieces are notated in melody form. There are also accompanying arrangements for around 50 pieces, which enable the player to play the piece together with others or to accompany themselves by singing. A challenge for experienced kalimba players are the instrumental versions, in which the melody and accompaniment are played together.
